Sol, the signature piece of this collection, was the spark which inspired this work. What I saw was how we each shine in our own way and when we come together we somehow radiate even brighter and create something beautiful.

As I was creating the individual rays or figures, I was amazed by how unique each one was as they evolved. A few times I had painted 2 pieces at different times without concern for each other but I would later discover their counterparts that somehow emerged as if they were painted side by side. The process of creating this collection was magical.

Each piece is cut into it’s shape from 3/4″ hardboard and the mounted pieces are attached to bent copper tubing.
